Hone Your Intuition with Blue Lotus

Blue Lotus

Living in Bali for eight years, opened my eyes to the powerful benefits of Turmeric as an anti-microbial, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory healing agent. Used by the local Balinese and widely throughout Indonesia as a traditional medicine, it is also a key ingredient used in Ayurvedic medicine, to relieve joint pain (arthritis), digestive issues, fatigue, stiffness, and general malaise or brain fog.

After a little digging as to why this plant is so powerful, I’ve found the amazing healing and anti-inflammatory properties of this plant come from the bright yellow crystalline compound curcumin which is produced by plants of the curcuma species a a member of the ginger family.

Tea Ritual

I’ve found weaving this plant into my wellness rituals is most enjoyed by blending turmeric together with herbs and spices as a warming milk when I’m feeling depleted, or in need of a mental and digestive energy boost.

I call upon this recipe for its nourishing and replenishing properties as well as an overall support for longevity. I recently discovered Anima Mundi Herbals Golden Moon Milk which I have fallen in love with as it blends Ashwagandha, along with restorative 'spirit' plants such as Reishi, and calming Blue Lotus. Turmeric, vanilla, orange, cinnamon and cardamom - the perfect infusion for gut and brain health.
