This experience integrates therapeutic yoga postures, somatic yoga, psychology, meditation, and chakra medicine to alleviate symptoms of lower back pain, sacrum imbalance, and hip tension. 

Through receptive and repetitive movements, we will explore techniques to break poor movement patterns, strengthen what’s weak, balance what’s asymmetrical, and release chronic contraction; to bring spaciousness to the inner body with prop support. 

Furthering this journey, we will travel into the psychological realm to identify stress patterns, and other emotional factors such as anxiety, fear, guilt, and repressed anger, which cause havoc on the nervous system and contribute to muscle spasm and blocked energy lines responsible for  pain in the lower back. 

By bringing consciousness to the sources of our pain patterns, we are more able to decipher the relationship between mind and physical pain, to shift at the subconscious level, and make the necessary adjustments within our belief systems, environment and daily routines that are calling for our attention.

At the close of this session, this experience will integrate chakra medicine focused in the root chakra, sacral chakra and solar plexus to awaken vital energies, bringing mindful contraction to the muscles which support the lower back and suppleness to the total bodies’ musculature.  This experience will close with an extended savasana and Yoga Nidra.
